Programme Coordinator Resilient Infrastructure Fund

In partnership with our community, Environment Southland (Southland Regional Council) is responsible for the sustainable management of Southland's natural resources - our land, our water, our air and our coast. As a Regional Council we operate across a large geographical region which extends from Stewart Island to Fiordland.

Having recently undergone an organisational redesign to ensure that we have the right structure and resources in place to respond to the changing needs of our communities, and the unique environment that we operate in, we currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Programme Coordinator.

Emphasis is on:

  • Programme coordination and duties across the various projects and work streams.
  • Coordinating contracts.
  • Tracking and reporting programme design and deliverables.
  • Working closely with the programme manager.
  • Assisting in the development and maintenance of robust, effective internal procedures.

Knowledge/Experience required:

  • Demonstrated knowledge to fulfill requirements of the key accountabilities specified for this position.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in project coordination and/or programme management.
  • NZ Certificate / Diploma in Project Management
  • Preferred knowledge of Programme Management software such as Microsoft Project or other software.
  • Experience working with stakeholders, community groups and iwi preferable.
  • Experience in understanding various disciplines and articulating information with clarity.
  • Proven experience in project management techniques, systems and information processing and presenting.
  • Competency in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Highly accurate and keen eye for detail.
  • Full current driver's license

An initial offer of remuneration will be made within the range $82,530. - $87,115.
