We are seeking a talented Financial Accountant to join our dedicated and supportive team.
The core of this role is financial management and reporting, with a strong focus on driving the enhancement of accounting processes and procedures. Reporting to the council's Finance Manager, you will be a talented financial accountant who likes numbers, problem solving and you will, of course, possess strong technical accounting skills.
The person we want on our team will have:
- a real desire and ability to provide accurate and timely financial reports and information;
- an understanding of statutory reporting requirements
- the ability to take the lead in enhancing accounting processes and systems;
- an initiative and a 'can do' approach to your work;
- excellent time management;
- a good sense of humour.
We know that the right person for this position will have a Bachelor of Commerce in accounting and you will also be a Chartered Accountant (CA), with a minimum of five years' experience in a similar role.

An initial offer of remuneration will be made within the range $82,025-$91,675 per annum.
